Description

A very large shelving unit, bookshelves, break front library wall or shop fitting made in solid wood light coloured golden oak, probably made around 20-30 years ago. Every part of this is solid oak, even the back. There's a central large section with two adjustable shelves and a an optional hanging rail below, flanked by two thinner and shallower sections with fixed (but removable) shelves. These three bits all have decorative corbels at the top and sit on a full length plinth; there's a carved cornice on top, in a sort of Regency style. It's an extremely heavy piece, particularly the middle part, so we've modified the back boards so that they can be removed in one piece and screwed back on. The hanging rail is an industrial looking affair: a later addition. There were probably two more shelves where it goes; shouldn't be too hard to get some more if wanted. Condition is pretty good structurally: it's very solid. Some holes drilled in some of the sides where lights were wired in. Cosmetically it has a few scuffs, marks, dings, screw holes and paint spatters but really not very much. Dimensions: 287cm x 46cm x 236cm high (size of largest section to follow)
